our philly trip gave us some relief to this semester, but another stressful week had us packing our bags for a d.c. excursion. two weekend trips in a row! you must think we're crazy. and yes, we are. but we had planned this trip during the summer, back when we bought our tickets to the color run. we left early saturday morning, after an earlier ritual of ours, and arrived in d.c. around lunchtime. then we had quite a bit of fun walking around with lauren's gracious friend (the smiley one)!
then we got hungry, of course. so we went off to lunch at kramerbooks & afterwords cafe. great food by the way! sort of a theme for the trip...
then we walked, window-shopped, and walked some more around georgetown, stopping for a cupcake at sprinkles. delicious, but you could've guessed that.
after walking around chinatown for hours (not really), we were still hopelessly hungry and without dinner reservations. then, out of nowhere, we stumbled into pi pizzeria. we knew it had to be good, simply based on the logo. we were so right! our pizza was spectacular, and we barely had leftovers. 607 is a sucker for thin crust pizza, and emily and i are especially suckers for anything prosciutto. lauren, not so much... :)
our day in d.c. was perfect! thanks, yi!
