december is flying by! luckily, we're getting to enjoy every minute with midnight premiers and strange produce. well, not every minute. it is finals period. let me explain...
thursday night (after taking a final that morning, during which a fantastic classmate sitting beside emily and i decided to pull out an orange, peel it, and eat it, thus releasing the sweet strong odor throughout the tense room. it did not ease the tension... *glares in his direction while keeping her eyes on her own exam*...), emily and i went to the midnight screening of the hobbit in imax, aka grrrreat movie, even when you feel sleepy. but don't worry, we did bring flashcards to study for an upcoming exam. and we even used them a bit... well, as for myself, i loved the hobbit. from what i remember reading it long ago, it followed the book closely, though i didn't know (until the credits rolled) that this was only a first installment. still enjoyed myself nonetheless! it was also my first imax experience, and after a slight headache at the beginning, it turned out to be not so bad. though, when i see it again with my younger brother over break, i wouldn't mind seeing it the old-fashioned way.
then lauren comes back from a christmas party with the best. white elephant. gift. ever. a spiky durian fruit, and an accompanying weapon. lauren took it home with her... but i'm still curious to smell it. well, actually not really.
today was the last farmers market of the year (for us)! i love how they have christmas trees for sale, along with flowers, wreaths, and ornaments for the holidays. and, of course, the produce looks super wonderful.
it's pretty quiet around here, now that lauren left for the break. such a sad day! and also filled with studying. but in one week, i will be five finals down and two cats to hugggg!
wish us luck on tests, with curves higher than mountains! (hehe)
