so we've started a bit of a movie club. after watching perks of being a wallflower a few weeks ago at the charming charles theater, the four of us decided to see anna karenina this weekend. this movie experience was pretty different, and not just because we were the youngest ones in the audience (straight up weird). after 15 minutes of a confusing beginning, with many characters and scene changes intertwined, i accepted the fact that i would be lost, and decided to enjoy it just based on the score, scenery and theatrical set-up. the filming was pretty different because most scenes started, ended, or took place entirely in a theater. another thing that caught my attention was the recurring waltz, or maybe i'm just becoming more attuned to dancing since watching dwts over thanksgiving holiday...
all things considered, i enjoyed it, and hey, i'll take any excuse to get off campus for a few hours! :)
