election 2012 roundup

happy election day! time for another roundup: my favorites from election 2012...

polling via food

  • 7-eleven's "7-election" campaign - red vs. blue cups... such an accurate and official gauge of voter attitudes... haha
  • california tortilla's presidential burrito bowl election - mitt loaf vs. obama's chicken teriyaki luau bowl... c'mon i'm a vegetarian but a teriyaki luau bowl > > > > > meatloaf any day! they obviously never heard of controlling for variables to conduct a fair experiment...

who doesn't love voting with their stomach/wallet...

political satire/comedy

social media

  • facebook screamed political opinions all day from "just cast my ballot/participated in the democratic process/lost my voting virginity" to "everyone get out and vote--no matter who you are you have to have some sort of an opinion" to "vote informed!" to "i just want the elections to be over already"

election-oriented art

  • google's ballot-themed homepage

  • baltimore love project's "love" made into "vote

campaign photos
well.. this was actually prior to the campaign but with kal penn! so i had to include it!

right before the first debate... i wonder what was going on in their minds or what words were exchanged

for those of you that feel that obama has a hard time promoting himself and marketing his accomplishments:

  • what the heck has obama done so far - the non-explicit version says, for example, "established credit card bill of rights, preventing credit card companies from imposing arbitrary rate increases on customers.. that's cool i guess, what else you got?" and you can keep advancing and advancing and advancing... in short, he has done quite a lot!
  • the rachel maddow show outlines president obama's accomplishments over the last four years

and last but not least, political paraphernalia/attire! i rocked my obamagear all day!
009... with the free indivisible band i got for going to starbucks on election day, my collectible #44 glass, and last election's commemorative bumper sticker

and some flashback photos from last election

go ahead; obamicon.me yourself... i won't judge ;p

may the votes be ever in your favor
