Zara dress, Merona sandals, Lancaster Paris purse |
on friday night, we all went out to dinner with my mom who came to visit for the weekend. going to a restaurant that is not a block away from campus calls for dressing up! we were going to a nice restaurant in a "night life" area so i decided to wear a dress that i've only worn once before. i previously wore it for a semi-formal event with tights and heels so i was kind of hesitant about wearing it out during daylight hours. however, after putting it with my sandals and a tan purse, i liked the causal tone and a hint of a sophistication.
why i love this outfit:
- the pattern of the dress! i am not a big paisley girl, but the colors and the other various patterns make it not look like i'm from that 70's show
- you probably can't tell, but inside the dress, there are wires that suck you in and then bring the dress out below the waist. it is a fun shape that contrasts with the reserved neckline
- the bag!! this was a bag that i took from my mom's closet. she had bought it in the amsterdam airport and had never used it. lucky me because i love it! (you can even make it into a backpack)
