i need to catch up with emily and her outfits of the week, so i'll share a few of my favorites and the hair that went along with them, since hair has to be one of my favorite accessories!
i love braids--i can do a regular french braid with my eyes closed. so i try to mix it up a little and try other variations like this face-framing asymmetrical braid, which i blended into a straight braid.
my outfit is one of my faves because it is an abundance of green (my favorite color). i paired a v-neck green dress and a black cami with black flats (keens--super comfy and not nearly as dorky-looking as their sandals). and i topped it off with my favorite chartreuse wayfarers.
flash forward to the first day of my internship at a professional office downtown. so i just had to find the perfect outfit to make a good first impression. i reverted to my classic black and white, which i kept from getting depressing or boring by pairing this funky black and white skirt (from banana republic--my fave!) with a black shirt and blazer, which really makes it pop! i also carried my computer bag--if that doesn't say, "i mean business," i don't know what does!

i chose a practical hairstyle for the occasion--a face-framing, asymmetrical twist which i spun into a twist bun, making for a simple yet elegant look.
