even the best bakers make mistakes. and we definitely had an oopsies. while trying to make some yummy snickerdoodles we were not diligent in checking up on our cookies. the first batch was not too bad, just a bit crispy on the bottom so we thought, eh let's keep the second batch in for the same time. however, as the smell of burnt dough reached our noses, we knew something was up. opening our oven, a waft of smoke came out and revealed some heavily charred doods.
although this batch was a loss, we still ate them anyway (hayley had the brilliant idea to dip them in her coffee).
a highlight of the sesh: slicing our butter to increase surface area to volume ratio! now we can truly call ourselves engineers
