farmers' market faves

we are so lucky to have such an amazing year-round farmers market just a few blocks away. here are a few things i get on a regular basis:

kale - we've tried the fancy $15/lb kale from the organic farm and the $1/lb kale from another guy… which one did a bunch of college kids fall in love with? so we get it every week and make kale chips
fuji apples - any kind of apple from reid's orchard is a weekly staple, especially since they have slices of every kind out to taste and you can mix and match them all!
marmalade/jelly - my mom is addicted to infused spreads' grapefruit lime and mojito marmalades. we've also tried sweet potato butter!
bread - depending on the week i get whole wheat, sesame wheat, or cinnamon raisin walnut from atwater's
hippie dude - when i'm feeling less-optimistic about cooking my meals in the upcoming week, i turn to a husband-and-wife duo who i lovingly call "the hippie dude" who prepare sugar free sweets (using apple juice and other all-natural alternatives) and delicious burritos, mini pizzas and polenta with vegan cheeses.
