i know we haven't been keeping up with the blog as much as we had last semester, but at least from my end, i haven't been very inspired lately. however, despite the amount of work needed to be done this weekend, i think i was able to find a tid bit of inspiration in some simple things.
i have been in a food rut lately and haven't been able to find anything really interesting to eat. good thing i got these two amazing gifts from my very special valentine! as much as i love my usual farmer's market veggies, i needed some fresh combinations. what a great way to start a new influx of ideas...a book to help me and a bowl to eat them from :)
who knew going around the same rink multiple times could be so fun. but people young and old have been doing it for decades. the residential advisory board rented out a nearby ice skating rink for the evening and 50+ people went to wipe out on the ice (...or at least a few did)
and of course who doesn't love a midnight snack? after ice skating, i had an uncharacteristic craving for subway. what better opportunity to exercise the subway februany special...spicy italian with southwest chipotle sauce waddup! (the other half also served as a very hearty breakfast)
on the search for some special salad dressing (which we ended up not finding), we went to whole foods down in the harbor. although it is so close, we rarely go (such a shame...we need to change that!) but every time we do, it is a special occasion because we always eat at their extensive salad bar. too bad we can't just have a whole foods buffet in 607. and yes that is the green rubber band they give you to keep your box together chilling in my medley at the top. still have no clue how it got there...
i've also been a music rut so basing some key words from this blog post i searched my itunes library and found some stuff i never knew/forgot i had!
