welcome to the first "outfit of the week" post! each week i will reflect on my fave outfit and why. we can all agree that what you wear can define your mood. what has been your fave recently and why?

since high school, i have always wanted to pull off the "tucked-shirt-into-skirt" combo. it wasn't until winter of freshman year that i gradually got into it by wearing cord skirts. sespite my initiation, i had yet to find a summer skirt that i could wear the same way and not accentuate my belly. this skirt i found at the outlet mall in houston at francesca's. i have a friend who loves this store and i can understand why. they have a wide range of colors and patterns that make a fun outfit. i decided to keep the skirt as the focus point of my outfit by wearing black. i chose this outfit as my fave for the week because
- it's new (who doesn't like showing off a brand new piece?)
- there are cute little boats on my skirt! (don't know if you can tell from the pics)
- there is potensh for this to follow me through the fall and winter seasons (i'm thinking black pullover, tights, and loafs?)
