labor day brunch

labor day marked our last official day of summer.  to celebrate, we held a brunch in our apartment that monday morning, inviting many friends we hadn't seen for a while.  even though we hosted this brunch a while ago, its success makes it deserve a post of its own.

we tried to cater to many tastes with the food we offered:  eggs and salsa, toast and peanut butter, pancakes and maple syrup, mixed fruit, and of course, coffee and teas galore.  we had a blast listening to music, and catching up on each other's summer adventures.

the best part of the morning was the constant flow of friends that came to brunch.  the conversation was flowing, as was the constant coffee created by our cute little mr. coffee maker (it's adorable!). it was the perfect way to revel in the last day of freedom.  the next day, the oppressive hand of academia would strike, pelting us with coursework and relentless professors (jokes!).

and who wouldn't love cleaning dishes alongside this lovely lady in blue? hm? anyone? didn't think so...
